Training & Qualifications
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)
I have worked as a counsellor since 2011, this has included working in the counselling team at The Olive Branch in Winchester, providing affordable counselling support for people with a range of issues.
My previous work background is in family and care work. I have run a number of womens groups, providing an environment for growth and mutual support. I have experience of issues surrounding disability, care management and support for carers and those in the caring profession.
I gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from The Psychosynthesis Education Trust.
The Psychosynthesis approach affirms the reality of spiritual experience as an integral part of human experience. Psychosynthesis acknowledges our individual uniqueness and our connection to the whole. Where suffering can be caused by a loss of contact with who we really are, the psychosynthesis approach seeks to restore and renew this contact.
My counselling experience has included issues such as bereavement, depression, low self esteem, anxiety, addicitons, self harm, issues relating to caring for a relative, panic attacks, family & relationship concerns, coping with disability, career or life choices and questions of meaning and spirituality.
I wanted to change the world. But I found that the only thing one can be sure of changing is oneself
